Landa Bates

Landa been involved in volleyball for more than 30 years, growing up “Down the Shore” in New Jersey. She competed in beach volleyball doubles and women’s indoor volleyball in the GEVA region, and also officiated both beach and indoor matches.

For over 20 years, Landa has coached both beach and indoor volleyball for girls and boys, in addition to running high school clinics.

After knee surgery, she is excited to return to competitive volleyball while also embracing some new passions, especially competing in disc sports with her first herding dog. Thankfully, her dog is a better catcher than she is a thrower!

Landa truly appreciate the positive culture at NorthEast Thunder. The club’s mission aligns closely with her own values, and she is excited to help teach and instill those principles in our athletes.
