Marc Agel

Marc brings more than two decades of competitive volleyball experience and a diverse coaching background to NorthEast Thunder. His playing career spans high school volleyball, four years at the Division III club level at Hartwick College, three years of Yankee USAV competition in Massachusetts, and more than 20 years competing in IREVA/XLVBALL–USAV events. His coaching experience includes three seasons as an assistant with a Division III women’s collegiate program, two years coaching the Division III men’s club team at SUNY Albany, and four years leading a women’s adult club team in IREVA. Within the junior ranks, Marc has coached with Junior Thunder for multiple seasons, working with 13U, 14U, 15U, and 16U girls teams, and most recently served as head coach of NorthEast Thunder’s 17 Lightning team.

Marc is passionate about using his experience at every level of the game to help athletes become more complete and confident players. His coaching philosophy focuses on strong technical fundamentals, developing game IQ, building cohesive teams, and competing with confidence and integrity. He believes in challenging athletes to continually improve while creating an environment where they can learn, compete, and enjoy the game. Marc is excited to continue contributing his experience and energy to NorthEast Thunder and helping the club’s athletes reach their next level.
