Samantha Russell

Sam is entering her second season coaching with NorthEast Thunder and brings a strong foundation of playing experience and a passion for the game. She began her volleyball journey at Ballston Spa High School and went on to compete for three seasons with Team LVC. While attending college, Sam continued to play competitively on her school’s club volleyball team and remains active in the sport through local outdoor leagues.

As a coach, Sam is dedicated to helping athletes grow both on and off the court. She emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and a positive mindset, aiming to support each player in reaching their full potential.

What Sam values most about NorthEast Thunder is the welcoming atmosphere and strong sense of community. She is proud to be part of a club that feels like family and is excited to contribute to its continued success in developing confident, skilled, and connected athletes.
