Shannon Ryan

A passionate player turned coach, Shannon brings a strong foundation of competitive experience and a genuine love for the game to her second season with NorthEast Thunder. A four-year varsity athlete at Columbia High School, she also competed for five years with LVC before continuing her playing career at Arcadia University, where she played four years of NCAA Division III volleyball. Since graduating, Shannon has remained active in the volleyball community through a variety of indoor and outdoor leagues. Her extensive playing experience gives her a unique perspective on the game and a strong foundation for helping athletes develop their skills and confidence.

Over the past year with NorthEast Thunder, Shannon has continued to grow as a coach and has embraced the opportunity to help athletes learn, compete, and build their love for the sport. Her coaching approach emphasizes skill development, teamwork, confidence, and creating a positive environment where athletes feel supported and challenged to improve. Shannon is excited to continue building on her first season with NET and to help the next generation of athletes grow both on and off the court.
